Hip Hop:
At Dancing Stars, we teach the fundamentals for hip hop including different styles such as popping, tutting, floor work, foot work and more!
Jazz:
At Dancing Stars, we teach the fundamentals of jazz. In this class we will explore ways to incorporate tricks and choreography. Jazz dance may allude to vernacular jazz, Broadway or dramatic jazz.
Acro:
At Dancing Stars, Acro dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. It is defined by its athletic character, its unique choreography, which blends dance and acrobatics, and its use of acrobatics in a dance context.
Tumbling:
At Dancing Stars, Tumbling is practiced on padded flooring. Students will learn tumbling skills and connective forward and backward elements such as handstand variations, rolls, round-offs, cartwheels, aerials, handsprings, walkovers, and more. Tumbling is a very high-energy class that focuses on stamina, muscle strength, and flexibility through repetition of movement.
Jazz Tech/Ballet:
This routine is a Hip Hop Duet in the Level 1 category. Placing in the top 10 for every competition in the 2022-2023 season. including out of state competitions in cities like Las Vegas, NV and Anaheim, CA!
This routine placed 2nd place at Star Quest in 2020. This routine was performed by Adalyn Thompson in level 1- Hip Hop.
This routine is a contemporary solo in level 1. This routine has placed in top 10 for the 2022-2023 season. Also winning a special award for costume!
